The goal of SMERGY is to communicate possible energy saving potential and to encourage young adults to implement energy efficiency measures at home. SMERGY ran in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden and Denmark untill August 2016 and is co-funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme by the European Union.
We are happy to announce that SMERGY was granted the label “COP21” , the official label of the UN Climate Change Conference, symbolizing the French institutional support for the project. The Conference will take place in Paris from November 30 to December 10. Its main objective will be to achieve a new legally binding and universal agreement on climate, succeeding the Kyoto-Protocol.
SMERGY will connect online and offline campaigning to bring people together. With several online and offline-actions in relation to energy saving and energy efficiency SMERGY will build up a community and a social feeling within the campaign.
During the whole campaign duration serveral articles and tipp-lists about topics like heating, lighting, electronic devices or how to find an energy-efficient apartment will be published on the national SMERGY-campaign websites.
